Limited-Time Competitive Event - This feature introduces a new competitive mode where players challenge others through a limited-time event. To succeed, players must complete up to five consecutive levels without losing a life. My role focused on designing the end-to-end user experience and visual design.
Wireframing
Following collaboration with the product manager and game design team, I created wireframes to define user flows and screen structures. Key areas of focus included:
• Level Outcomes: Seamless integration of new UI elements with the existing win/lose experience
• Leaderboards: Multiple tiers, including bucket-based, friends, and global rankings
• Rewards: Clear presentation of crown rewards and leaderboard incentives
These wireframes helped align the team and supported early product evaluation.
Visual Design
I worked closely with the art director and lead artists to bring the UI to life. With “Jack and the Beanstalk” as the chosen theme, I incorporated sky blue and vine green to create a cohesive, story-driven visual language. Royal blue accents and gold banners were introduced to reinforce a sense of progression and “kingship,” enhancing the competitive and aspirational feel of the event.
